About us

The International Center for Statistical Expertise Centrostat - is the first world-class platform for training, consulting and supporting the development of statistics in Russia. It brings together leading Russian and foreign experts, helps improve statistical literacy and promotes the most innovative Russian statistical products. Centrostat was opened on October 20, 2020, as part of a joint project between Rosstat and the World Bank.

Our mission is to create a database of facts about the socio-economic situation of Russia, which will respond fully to the needs of our clients and help them make more informed decisions. We carry out research with the support of territorial bodies of state statistics, which ensures maximum coverage in each region and high reliability of results.

Centrostat derives its competencies from the experience of the Information and publishing center "Statistics of Russia", which served as the basis for its creation. Since its establishment in December 2001, this organization has been instrumental in Rosstat’s interactions with leading international organizations of the United Nations system. These include the Economic Commission for Europe, the Industrial Development Organization, the Population Fund, etc.

ANO IPC “Statistics of Russia” is responsible for organizing expert missions of Russian specialists to various foreign countries and producing joint publications with international organizations.
