International partnerships and projects

Centrostat provides a platform for international projects of the Federal State Statistics Service:

  • takes part in Rosstat activities with UN system agencies - Economic Commission for Europe, Industrial Development Organization, Population Fund and others;
  • produces joint publications with international organizations.

For several years now, in cooperation with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), Centrostat has been conducting seminars and training courses as part of the special programme “CISPop: Better Data for Better Policies”, supported by the Government of the Russian Federation, and aimed at strengthening methods for collecting, analyzing and using population data for evidence-based policy-making in the CIS countries.

  • A regional webinar “Measuring Migration in the 2020 Round of National Censuses” was held on November 30, 2023. Read more
  • Five-day online training course was held in October – November 2023 for national statistical services of the CIS countries on “Sampling Methods”. Read more
  • The inaugural online forum within the framework of the project “Nurturing Young Official Statisticians in Central Asia as Catalysts for the Future of Official Statistics”. Read more

  • Second regional seminar on migration statistics for experts from the Commonwealth of Independent States. Read more
  • The conference "International Country and City Rankings: Methodology, Data, Transparency". Read more
  • 3 sessions, 25 speakers and over 1500 participants – summing up the results of the international conference «The Road to Bern» in support of the 3rd UN World Data Forum. Read more
