PRESENTATION OF THE CENTROSTAT TOOK PLACE AT THE INTERNATIONAL MULTIMEDIA PRESS CENTER “RUSSIA TODAY”

The presentation of the newly opened International Center for Statistical Expertise “Centrostat” - Russia’s first international platform for training and consulting in statistics - took place on October 20, 2020.

Centrostat is a joint project of the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat), the UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), the World Bank and the Statistical Institute for Asia and the Pacific (SIAP).

Centrostat will bring together leading Russian and foreign experts and become a modern international platform for training, consulting and promoting statistical development. Its projects will help improve statistical literacy, promote Russian statistical products, and introduce innovation.

The event brought together heads of international organizations and government bodies of the Russian Federation.
