Rosstat and the Moscow Government Are Organizing a Conference on International Rankings of Countries and Cities. Centrostat Is One of the Co-Organizers

The conference "International Country and City Rankings: Methodology, Data, Transparency" will be held on September 28, 2021, in Rosstat. Together with Rosstat, the event is organized by the Moscow Government and the International Statistical Institute with the assistance of Centrostat.
The conference will focus on the role of data in conducting international research. During three sessions, speakers will talk about the main approaches to creating international rankings, the interaction of their authors with national statistical services and the use of rankings by various user groups.
30 experts will speak at the conference. Among them are Head of Rosstat Pavel Malkov, Moscow Vice-Mayor for Economics and Property Relations Vladimir Efimov, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Polina Kryuchkova, Deputy Minister of Education of the Russian Federation Tatyana Vasilyeva, President of the International Statistical Institute Steve Pennek, Chairman of BCG Russia and the CIS Vladislav Butenko and other experts from government agencies, international organizations, academic and business communities.
The event will be held in a in hybrid mode, online and in person.
