Training on SDMX Data Modeling

From July 26 to August 5, 2021, from 16.00 to 19.00 Moscow time, an online training course will be held on SDMX Data Modeling. The training is organized by the Eurasian Economic Commission, the UN Statistics Division and the International Center for Statistical Expertise "Centrostat". The working language is Russian.
Participants will cover topics such as introduction to the Statistical Data and Metadata Exchange (SDMX) information model, data modeling and development of a Data Structure Definition (DSD), and mapping data in an Excel template to a DSD and extracting it in SDMX format.

Day 1

An introduction to the SDMX information model and data modeling.
Homework assignment: creating a data model.

Day 2
July 28
Review of the results of the assignment. Data Modeling (continued) and DSD creation using ILO DSD Constructor.
Homework assignment: creating a DSD.

Day 3
August 3
Review of the results of the assignment. Introduction to SDMX Converter.
Homework assignment: mapping an Excel spreadsheet using SDMX Converter and extracting national data.

Day 4
August 5
Review of the results of the assignment. An overview and demo of SDMX tools.
